Welcome to the home page for the Nurfer project.

The goal of Nurfer is to create tools that make programming easier, faster, and more reliable for all programmers, regardless of their choice of operating system, editor, programming language, or compiler.

Currently, Nurfer consists of the following projects:

• Nurfer Search, a search engine specialized for programming languages and libraries. Currently in alpha testing.
• Nurfer refactoring protocol, an editor-neutral protocol for editors to communicate with refactoring tools. This is intended to allow refactoring tools to be used with any editor. Not yet released.
• Nurfer refactoring toolset, a set of libraries that can be used to quickly build refactoring tools for a given programming language.
